Fire Extinguisher Cylinder Weld Process
1. Scope
This code specified the cylinder joint welding method and is suitable to
the fire extinguisher cylinders designed and manufactured as per EN3

2. Welding Equipment
2.1 YM-200KRIVTA CO2 welding machine.
2.2 Fixture for holding the cylinder
3. Welding Material
3.1 Welding Wire: LINCOLN ¢1.0 ER70S-6
3.2 Melt Temperature: 900 Deg.C.
4.Welding Procedure
4.1 The cylinder enter into weld process shall passed all inspections before weld process.
4.2 Use metal cleaning liquid to clean throughly the joint area to remove grease, rust, etx. then dry it.
4.3 After cleaning, rejust the welding parameter for the welding unit & flowing gas.Make sure the unit work well.
4.4 Set the cylinder vertically in the fixture which hold the cylinder. So the current can move
accurately to weld joints.
4.5 Check to be sure no mistake, then push the control button, wait the green light trun on.
4.6 Loose the fixture, take out the welded cylinder, check the welding quality to see if the material is melted evenly but no overflow , no joint gap.
4.7 Put the good cylinder in the area for inspection. Put the rejected ones in a separate are.
4.8 When finish work, switch off the machine as per the "Safe Operation Procedure", Clean up the working area for the next shift.
4.9 The process is started after to get 2 regular products continuously.
